Honestly, it comes down to what you want your photo experience to feel like. If you want something classic, efficient, and low-key, a traditional booth will absolutely do the job. But if you want your photo booth to also be a talking point, a backdrop for your whole event, and something guests bring up months later ("remember that yellow VW bus?"), a photo bus is hard to beat. Luckily, we offer both! If you prefer a traditional photo booth, we can bring our stand-alone kiosk with a white floral backdrop. This service also comes with unlimited 2x6 photo prints so you can take photos with all of your guests!
Photo Booth vs Photo Bus
Which One is Best For Your
Chattanooga Wedding Or Event?
Trying to decide between a traditional photo booth and a vintage photo bus for your Chattanooga wedding? Here's an honest breakdown of the differences.

Photo Booth vs. Photo Bus: Which One Is Right for Your Event?
If you've started planning a wedding or big event in the Chattanooga area, you've probably noticed that "photo booth" isn't really one thing anymore. Somewhere along the way, the classic curtained box got a cool cousin: the photo bus. So what's actually different, and which one fits your day better? Let's break it down.
What Is a Traditional Photo Booth?
A traditional photo booth is usually an enclosed box, pop-up tent, or open-air setup with a camera, a backdrop, and a printer. Guests step in (or up), strike a pose, and walk away with a photo strip a few seconds later. It's a tried-and-true favorite for a reason — it's simple, familiar, and gets the job done.
Photo booths are a great fit if you:
- Have limited indoor space at your venue
- Want a more compact footprint for a smaller guest count
- Are working with a tighter budget
- Just want the classic strip-photo experience without any extra flair
What Is a Photo Bus?
A photo bus takes that same idea — instant photo strips, fun props, unlimited prints — and puts it inside something guests will actually remember. In our case, that "something" is Miss Daisy, our fully restored 1971 Volkswagen Bus. Instead of stepping into a plain box, your guests climb into a bright yellow vintage VW for their photo, with the whole bus doubling as a built-in backdrop and conversation piece.
A photo bus is a great fit if you:
- Want a statement piece that doubles as decor, not just an activity
- Are hosting your wedding or event outdoors, or somewhere with room for the bus to park
- Want photo opportunities outside the booth too — Miss Daisy is a magnet for candid pics all night, not just the ones from inside
- Want your photo booth to actually match your wedding's aesthetic (boho, vintage, retro, or just plain fun)
The Real Differences
1. The "wow" factor. A photo booth blends into the background of your reception. A photo bus doesn't — guests spot Miss Daisy from across the venue, and she tends to become one of the most photographed things at the whole event, even by people who never step inside for a strip.
2. Photo opportunities before, during, and after. With a standard booth, the photos happen inside the booth, period. With a photo bus, you get bonus photo ops all night: guests posing next to the bus, wedding parties using her for portraits, kids climbing on the running board. She works overtime as both entertainment and decor.
3. Space and setup. Booths can go pretty much anywhere, indoors or out, since they're compact. A photo bus needs outdoor space to park (we'll always scope this out with your venue ahead of time), but in exchange, you get a much bigger visual presence.
4. Personality. This is really the heart of it. A photo booth is a fixture. A photo bus is a character. Miss Daisy has her own name, her own story (we rescued and restored her ourselves back in 2018), and guests genuinely react to her differently than they would a plain booth.
